Auctorita Florentia - Starting height, 1.65 meters. Ending height, 35 light years.

This story was a collaboration with :iconawesomex18:.
Our writing styles really differ, but he's such a joy to work with that I think that these colabs might continue regardless.

The character, Auctorita Florentia, is an original character designed jointly by AwesomeX18 and myself. The reference image was not made by us, though I did turn it into a collage. Rights to the image goes to its respective creator; rights to the character are reserved by AwesomeX18 and myself.

A short follow-up piece can be found here: A Princess's Personal Pampering

But they do allow collages, and I did make the collage, so I'm pretty sure I'm okay. As Long as I don't claim to have drawn it. Which, clearly, I don't.

Nice story. You and AwesomeX18 do make quite a good pair.
Also a particularly fitting reason for a character to ever 'become' a Goddess. Keep up the good work.

Is this Florentia a one-and-done character or do you think you two will ever use her again?
Also out of random curiosity, who's the character in the Collage? Might be a dumb question...

Most of our characters are one-and-done, not because we don't like them anymore, but because we have so many and are so slow at writing these things. She might show up again, we both like her a lot, but we also really like a lot of other OC's we have.

As for the character in the Collage, I have no idea. It's tagged with 'original picture' where I got it, and I don't recognize her. If I did, I would have put a more acurate disclaimer.

You mean between you two, you have a lot of OCs?

Ah alright. I knew it couldn't be the character in this story, but I was just wondering.

Yeah. We have something like 20 designed now. Most of them will never see the light of day at all; they're just fun to build.

Oh, 20? Wow, does sound like quite a bit.
At least you're having fun it seems with what you do, and that's what matters most, I suppose.

Finals are this week at my university, so maybe in the next few weeks there might be more fun from me!

Great work as usual from you and :iconawesomex18:! I don't know why I've never seen a size story set on a ring-shaped world, but you definitely saw the potential there.

Ringworlds are fun, from both a giantess and pure science-fiction standpoint. The ring in this story is known as a dyson ring; It's a theoretical megastructure that a type II civilization might build around their host star in order to capture more of their star's light for energy. The numbers given in the story are reasonable sizes for what scientists think a dyson ring would be, though, I do want to stress, that real scientists think that the rings would be made of a swarm of millions of discontinuous solar collectors, not a solid structure. Still, that's the 'fiction' part! You can read more here if you're intrested: www.aleph.se/Nada/dysonFAQ.htm… - this is about a full dyson sphere, but much of the same physics applies to a dyson ring as well (the spheres are just more popular).

Believe it or not, I'm familiar with it--I have friends who are major hard sci-fi nerds and we've done things together. ;) But thanks for passing the info along!

Oh, that's wonderful! Too few hard sci-fi fans in general, let along among giantess lovers.
